rainforest dreaming
Thanks for all your comments on the last shot. The mono for this is much more dramatic but am not happy with posting it until the new template sizes are in so colour it is. Another shot of crystal cascades with me and camera midstream. Had to negotiate a small cliff and a few stinging trees to get this one but i think it was worth it.

This is a great shot. I just love it.
nev: thanks mystery kate
Very nice long exposure effect... It's really beautiful Nev.
nev: cheers roland
Well worth it Nev. Lovely. Great title too.
nev: unfortunately i was running out of light and didn't get as much time there as i would have liked. thanks brdge
Great...even more impressive than the previous one.
nev: I appreciate that Ray thanks
Definitely worth it, Neal!
nev: Thanks Ginnie
can't wait to see Mr Mono Neal, really gorgeous image. mal
nev: Mr Mono will have to be locked in the cupboard for the moment. As you know all too well the small images mean you lose a lot of detail. The new template seems a long time coming. cheers mal and hope you are getting time to work on new projects.
Another beauty, Neal! I am mesmerized by the texture of the water. I'll have to see if I can find some falling water around here to experiment.
nev: look deep into the water martin. concentrate on nothing but the sound of my voice.
Hi Nev, I love your water shots. I think I've said that before
nev: you can say it as many times as you like Kay. thanks
Excellent work Neal; I wish I could produce a water shot as good as this.
nev: check in those filing cabinets Chris i am sure you've got a ton/tonne. thanks
Beautiful, it's taken straight out of an instruction book on how to take water pics
nev: I appreciate that Aksel. cheers
Amazing image Neil...
did you put your feet in the water after you took the photo? Petra
nev: i did have to wade through the water a bit petra and nearly dropped the camera in for an unexpected swim.
very nice use of long shutter speeds, nice shot.
nev: thanks dotun
Beautiful shot Nev I was never a fan of the long shutter speed on water until now. After seeing your shots around Cairns I kept thinking I really must go again. Then yesterday a newletter arrived featuring a conference in Cairns so now Not only can I go but it can be a tax deduction. BONUS.
nev: The more shots i take with long shutters the more i warm to them myself aus. Water and long shutters were meant for one another. hope you get to go to the conference. if you do get to the tablelands also go and look at milla milla and malanda falls.
Neal, this is magic
nev: thanks for the magical comment ellie
Takes me back to childhood and building dams in the brook at the bottom of the garden. Magic times. Magical image.
nev: I am glad it respawned some childhood memories for you also Jose. I think childen can never be any more carefree when they are playing with water.
another good good work with shutterspeed nev!
nev: I appreciate that sg
Lovely shot Nev!
nev: cheers pb
A wonderful picture Nev - I spend few time looking at it, it is poetic and beautiful !
nev: I love being in the rainforest Zeb. The is an overwhelming feeling of the power of nature there. thanks
think i like this one even better than the previous. great liquidity around the rocks...that's the only word i could think of, even though it's a little redundant, given that water is liquid anyway...but maybe you know what i mean. great shot!
nev: fine words alex thanks for that.
I love all of your pictures with water, Nev. Each one is magical.
nev: you can say it as many times as you like Kay. your a champ thanks
Very nice one really Nev ! I love the blurry effect of the water... A peaceful place. For the 10-22 lens, it's really interesting, mine is not the brightest but it captures buildings and city landscapes quite well. Next buy : a 100mm macro at 2.8 + extender tubes !! I'm dreamming of a 400 or 500mm at 2.8 but it's too much expensive... !!!
nev: Thanks florence. Stop talking f2.8 lenses florence you are making my mouth drool and my pocket feel empty.
This is really idyllic. well done. i really appreciate all your landscape pictures especially.
nev: thank you jamoula i appreciate that
