The atmosphere you've captured reminds me of my childhood...
Petra
nev: i hope thats good memories you're having petra.
I love your beach shots, Nev. Very nice.
nev: Thanks Kay i appreciate that.
Those kids look like they're having a blast
Great shot, Nev, and I like the tones and the mirror-like image of the water.
nev: Thanks Deb they always seem to love playing at the beach
This is fabulous in B&W, Neal. Your title makes me think one of these boys is yours?! If so, oh to be so young again.
nev: Ginnie they both are my little rascals. The youngest thinks that he is 6 like his older brother and loves to do whatever he is doing.
Beatiful photo....!
nev: thank you abril
Nice work, Nev. I like the toning you have used for this photograph. And also the placement of the two children running along the shoreline within the frame. I miss this place.
nev: Thanks Beau. From your shots it looks like this was one of your local haunts and it is a lovely part of the world
There is obviously something to be said for being a kid again, but in all honesty, I don't want to trade places. Interesting shot, Neal!
nev: You should spill the beans when you say interesting Martin. I can take it you know. Life is so very carefree at this age. the most stressful thing is whether you can get treats etc.
This is very beautiful... great work...
nev: cheers thanks minelmio
Love this picture, Nev. Kids are evidently having a ball on the wet sand. B&W treat works just swell.
nev: thanks ray the beach is a great place to cut loose and forget all your troubles
I see some are speculating whether these kids are yours. I remember you have completed 17 years with your employer. Trying to work this out - maybe you have many kids and these are the youngest? Or the picture was taken very long ago? Or they are just not your kids?
Great capture and the b&w presentation adds a lot of pizazz.
nev: They both are mine Louis. this was taken about a month or so ago. The littles fellow follows his big brother everywhere and thinks he is 6 even if he has just turned 3.
nice sepia-ing...but what i really like are those 2 figures...
nev: thanks sam they are my favourite little scamps
Ah, those summer memories
nev: winter is fast approaching. almost down to single figures at night but up to 31 today. yuck
very nice work, i love the effect of the b&w, makes it timeless...
nev: that what i was trying to achieve when i converted thanks diya
That's nice, love the colour treatment. It's a picture to keep.
nev: thanks ellie. i kow you are not big on PS but this is usually achieved with a colour adjustment layer.
This has a really great feel to it Nev. It's full of life, youth, playfulness, great composition and the tones are to die for. Lovely.
( I like this alot
nev: Glad you enjoy it sheepy. weren't you promising to someone to start a blog before xmas. thanks for dropping by.
Crazy kids, lovely photo! lol mal
nev: They were genetically engineered that way. If everyone were trainspotters there would be no-one to drive the trains. cheers mal.
cool shot. nice b&w. would look even better after a couple of fosters
nev: thanks for that. I suppose once you get through the first one things can only get get better. cheers
