A tree of life from the leaf itself. Lovely visual language Neal.
nev: thanks for adding your imagery too jose
Great capture Neil...almost abstract, like it a lot!
Petra
nev: just like me Petra, almost abstract. I am working on it.
Very good Nev, I wish it could have been great in colours too.
nev: thanks florence. the mono reminded me more a heart.
That's a great image, Nev. I really like the "wet" look of the leaf. Funny thing...I took some macros of a leaf yesterday, and have been PP'ing them this morning...probably one will show up on my page soon.
nev: Thanks Ray it was a rubbery leaf and i liked the appearance in mono. looking forward to your tropical leaves.
Stick with the conversion Neal somehow I think it has more life this way.
J
nev: cheers johnny it reminded me more of a heart this way
Superb image Nev.

You are going deep into the being. Excellent blog.
nev: many thanks Louis
nice shot, love it.
nev: glad you do dotun. haven't had much of a chance to get new stuff lately.
This is very elegant, Neal. I like it!
nev: cheers Martin
Now I will have to go and read the Cruel Sea again to find your quote
nev: I wish it was more cultured Paul. This is some song lyrics from an aussie band of the same name. The lead singer Tex Perkins sings 'huh' better than anyone.
excellent close-up...the bands of light give it that lovely tonal variation...
nev: yeah i tried taking away the shadows and it just didn't work. cheers sam
The words combined with the photo made it my favourite of today...
nev: very kind words thanks minelmio
Beautifully sculptural. lovely.

As always Neal, your work is quite intriguing! Nicely played.
Me likey; it's been awhile, how have you been? All the best, Raymond
nev: Nice to hear from you Raymond. are you still posting
what a great title and similarity of subject Neal, really love the veins of the heart here and the interplay of light and shade. mal
nev: thanks Mal. once i converted to mono it really did feel like a pumping heart not that i've ever held one.
That's good Neal, it really is. Powerful and detailed, and an excellent mono picture too
nev: cheers ellie. wish i had more time to make a series of these.
Loving your B&W images Nev
