A beach shot i took quite a while ago. I recall at the time i wanted to capture what the tripod was looking at. Recently watching the BBC series the Genius of Photography there was a quote by new york photographer Stephen Shore and he referred to the tripod as being something which was Remembering his last thought. At the time this was my last thought

I am off on holidays to Cairns this week to visit family.

What a great idea, Neal. I especially like the light on the water, in mono.

By the way, did I tell you that Donica and I will be leaving for Australia on Monday, a week from today? We will end up on Magnetic Island, which I think isn't too far from Cairns??? We'll be first in Sydney and then in Brisbane. Wouldn't it be something if we could bump into each other?!!!

Very interesting thought - a tripod that is remembering. I have more issues with my camera remembering - I sometimes forget to change settings smile

Haha, clever composition! The still tripod (yet without a camera) and the walking person blurred (from a seemingly hand-held photo) make you ask questions about the picture! well done.
not a big fan of b&w but this works well.great shot
